Type 3 engine into combi ute ?

Any ideas on putting Type 3 1600 engine into early 70s combi ute ? Big Job ? No chance ? Look for other options ? Cheers Matt

I'd convert the TIII to upright andkeep all the kombi cooling factory.

Yeah spot on ditch the type 3 cooling system as they run hot anyway.

I dunno, my ol wagon had no heat problems, did a 900km run in upto 42deg heat with a bit of luggage when i had her and had no noticeable heat
problems, no run-on or anything.
