Engine/VIN numbers

Hello...I own a 1965 Notchback from Australia.I am going to be rebuilding my engine soon and was looking at my engine numbers on my case. I think my engine is the original one. Anyway the numbers on my case are 0813283...my VIN ends in 283...Is that just a coincidence...Just wondering Thanks

I had a rhd 63 bug ragtop from Ireland but sold it to buy my Notch.. I had it for 18 years as my daily driver and just needed a change. I have been too lazy to change my user name in here haha...Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help Kyle
