Looking for type 3 Overriders
Petey - May 22nd, 2008 at 01:54 PM

Hi there,
Does anyone know where I could get some overriders for my late model type 3. They seem to pop up on the Samba occasionally but no one will ship them out...
Thanks
Pete

USA is definitely the place to get them, so The Samba or Ebay I guess.
I have had stuff sent from Smaba users, so you may just found a few unwilling.
Have seen them here, but not often.

Can't say i have ever seen late Type 3's in the US. My thoughts were sourcing them from the UK but I could be wrong. US would definately be cheaper at the mo with the exchange rate.

Plenty in the USA, and yes, much cheaper in price and freight!

Saw a set for a type 1 at the nationals for about $140. Although they were for the Type 1, the shape was the same as for the late square bumper. Held it against the bumper on the moss green square that was right at the entrance to make sure.

I meant late type 3's that is. Then again, most in the US had over riders anyway.
Penguin, are you sure? I thought the curve in the bumpers would be different?

I thought the curve was the same but maybe the bumpers were larger??

Did they have the rubber inserts??

I have seen many different shaped ones in UK magazines..
so there must have been a market for non genuine ones over there..
and in the USA on type 1s that is...
