Sitting in front of the cornpooter yesterday 'bout 3 0'clock, drinking a couple of homebrews and devouring a few cheeseburgers for THE KING...THE KING IS DEAD LONG LIVE THE KING!! RIP ELVIS I stumbled accross a squareback on carsales, just out of chance, thinking, this is gone by now, i call the owner to find he had only put the add in that morning and yes, it's still for sale, grab a fresh battery and a jerry can, a good mate who knows more than i and head over to have a gander, something tells me this could be the one...again, well sure enough, after preliminary inspections, the thourough going over, you know the deal...then the owner shows me the books and original sales reciept...Cheque please!! Well cash actually, paid deposit and by 6.30 i'm back at home grinning like an idiot at my girlfriend who thought i was going out for cheeseburgers...again. Don't you just love it when things fall into place? lThe magic of Volkswagens never ceases to amaze me... sorry to say, i won't pick her up till wednesday so pics will be up then. nice
What year is it? And whats the Carsales ad so I can offer double
Good score well done. Another Type 3 to a good home so glad to see.
'73... needs a weekends worth of hard yakka and a service, then it should just sail through for rego. will post pics soon, sorry for delay...double hey? why not grab the notch for $750 ono... if wasn't going to get my vasectomy early (read: no anaesthetic and in the shed with a dull spoon by my girlfriend!)then i would grab it. it's only money
liked it so much i put it up twice...how do i upload pics again?
try again
so, it's been a while since i posted pics, pls forgive the doubles, i've spent about one and a half hours on the type 3 already gave the right side a bit of polish to get it looking decent for rego, the pan is straight as and apart from a bit of surface rust on the roof, he should pass with nothing more than a good degrease and a few bulbs here and there...the car, not me.
Heya kombinationdetailing, I saw this on carsales as well. rang the guy and it was gone, dam you
I am so jelous of you, but I guess there are others out there. Good luck with it.
Cheers Mitchell
Sleeping inside is much better than a vasectomy in the shed with an old teaspoon. Best of luck with the square. Les
Thanks guys...still intact and working slowly on it...the vw's are looking good too.. will have it registered and running in a fortnight or so, pics of progress up soon, have decided to rub back and preserve whats left of og paint, throw a coat or two of wax and save for a decent respray in og colour. Wattyl Have also landed a '65 notch and '68 notch, shed is nice and full now.
