having two people is normally a good idea, have one person pull the handel that lets you roll the seat forward and back, then sit in the back seat and put your feet on the bottom of the seat and push a little with your left foot and right foot and it will move forward (make sure there isnt a spring under the seat you need to undoo).

Look along the guide rail on the side closest to the gear stick. There should be a tab that lifts which stops the seat from coming off the rails. Get a long screwdriver and push the tab downwards while shifting the seat forward over the tab. Once the seat is over the tab, get out of the car, hold down the seat lever and push the seat forwards until it is off the guide rail. A one person job. Seat instillation is a reversal of the above.

Hey, does anyone know how to make these seats slide a little better, Mine are pretty damned tight, I keep having to adjust them for passengers...

Try spraying some wd40 along the guide rails. Also remove the seats and clean up any fluff and other gunk that has built up as this is a difficult spot to vacum and keep clean. removing 40 years of gunk really can make a big difference.;)
