Fatter Rims on the rear of a square? How?
benbus - February 4th, 2009 at 11:12 PM

I have just put on my wifes lowered square some 5.5 rims and they are offset outwards quite a long way from standard. They need to go back in about 10mm. Anyone got any ideas how to make them fit? Are Beetle drums shallower at all?
Thanks Ben

No you will have to change the wheels... You need something with a different offset

short axle conversion... or beetle drums maybe, they are a bit thinner but not sure which years fit what.

Ben,

Are you sure they are T3 wheels? Bug ones have different offset and will rub, esp at 5.5'.

I have what i think are 5 inchers on the back of mine with 195/65's and am down a bit and you cant fit your pinky between the tyre and guard! How wide are your tyres?

cut the rear wheel arches out around the wheels.
