Ok... But it looks like a one bolt rim. So I was wondering where you get the grill to fit it. But where do you get the grills for the the 3 bolt rim
anyway?
Saggas - March 20th, 2010 at 04:24 PM
what and where do you get that 't 3' plug that covers where the side repeater 'indicator' was?
1303Steve - March 20th, 2010 at 04:51 PM
Hi
A friend of mine drives that Type 3, he lives in the Blue Mountains, its actually owned by a friend of his, but its my friends daily driver, its an
auto, with 1835 and twin Webbers from memory, it also has Porsche 914 rear discs.
The plug actually says TS, some models had this.

looking at the instructions there... what "top retainer clip" are they talking about in step 2?
Dyno - June 23rd, 2010 at 01:11 AM
There is a small clip that is riveted to the top edge of the rim. If you look closely through the mesh of the complete pic of the gaurd, you can just
spot the rivets in the inside of the rim up the top.

Pretty sure these are Mahle 914 gas burners, AKA baby gas burners.
With the Pedrinis every second ridge goes to the centre cap, and the shorter ridges stop at the bolt holes.
Burrelli - June 23rd, 2010 at 09:07 PM
I remember seeing this car at the VW Nationals in 1993 with the mahle wheels. The first time I had ever seen mahles, they look great on fat chicks.
Pedrinis suit early cars IMO. I have some photos of it and its one of my favourite. The guy I assumed owned it then was in his 50s then so if it's
the same guy that owns it he would getting on now.

These are Pedrini's
PartyHatCentral - July 15th, 2010 at 01:34 PM
Yep, the wheels in the first pic at the top of the thread are Mahle - these replaced the Pedrinis as an option wheel on the 914 from early 1972.
Pedrinis were made / sold between 1970-1972. Well, this it what I know anyway...
