coming along nicely!
Cool choice of colours, should look great. Keep the updates coming
thanks guys. Most of the credit belongs to my dad, he has done most of the work teaching me along the way. Was buffing today and the buff died, so moved on to repairing the stainless side moulds. Will keep you posted.
Good stuff, mate. Looks very sweet! Looking forward to more progress shots.
Steve

other car cause someone reversed into it in a car park
and drove off. did $1650 damage thank god for insurance.
Any way heres some photos.
Over the top stainless exhaust. Was a bastard to fit took about 5 hours had to modify heeps of stuff to get it bto work
new headlights
clear lenses for blinkers. Not sure if I like them or the orange ones yet.
Also got new door rubbers, new tailight lenses, tailight seals, new window scrapers, new quater window rubbers and some clips and plugs for the
interior and the body moulds.
Scored these the other day.
KM/H speedo. Not sure if it works yet though.
Original Type3 badges? Don't feel like alloy repro's. Feel too heavy.
Man this notch is gunna look neat.

thanx for that.
started putting front end back together. Bought clear blinker lenses but decided to use orange ones.
All the stainless side moulds are now repaired and put back on. Decide to go with flat tailight lenses.
Dash back in but a little worse for wares. Don't know if I'll be able to get it repaired or have to find one in better condition.
Having problems at the moment with the fitment of my new german door rubbers. All gaps and lines are right but with the rubbers on the door is very
hard to shut and springs when opened.
Few more jobs to go including fabrication of seat mounts for front seats, repair brakes and refit carpet, glass, window scrapers (finding this to be
quite difficult), and put headlights in (using different headlights so will have to add mounting brackets to headlight buckets). Then it's off to get
a blue slip.
Looking real nice mate! Keep pluggin away....looking forward to seeing the completed pics!
Scarab (aka: Paul)
a couple of updates.
The headlights are now in.
Although not working properly.
The drivers side is only getting
enough power to make the
fillament in the bulb glow red.
And the high beam relay only
works when the headlights are
switched off.
Drivers side low beam
Drivers side high beam
Passengers side low beam
Passengers side high beam
Also think I have a short in the
blinkers they were working fine
but have stopped. While fiddling
around with them to try and get
them working again I noticed the
flash can was getting hot (almost
too hot to touch).
Got a lot of the fabrication done
on the mounts for the front seats.
great pics mate..look forward to see the finished pics...she's gonna look the business reckon..nice work
She's finally finished booked in for blue slip next tuesday(If I find apassengers wiper by then). Put new plugs and leads on now she's running like
a dream.
Here's some photo's
This is the wiper I am searching for
Well done. That's a sweet ride
Thanks mate, really pleased with how it utrned out. Can't wait for rego so I can actually start using it.
sweet ride
If you still need a wiper arm for rego let me know, going by the scenery I'm not far away
Wow, you've done a great job. Such a neat notch you have there.
The paint work looks terrific. Why did you opt to use the orange blinkers instead of the clear ones? Did they just give the overall look more contrast
or something?
Cheers
