just wondering how many type 3 owners there are in newcastle. i,ve an early and a late. i have seen a beige early on sunday. who else is out there ?

I would say a lot coz I noticed a big majority of type3's and part listed on ebay are in Newcastle.
another big type 3 place is Adelaide.

looks like a very nice machine. you may have seen my other car a nice red metalflake 70 wagon. low on wide standard wheels. there is also a notch i,m building as a variety club car, plus the blue 69 i was driving the other day.

vlad, yes there are a few in newcastle. as well as my collection i have stripped out three in the last month.

I spotted approx 6 mths ago a 1966 ish fastback with Vic plates around in Wickham through the day but have not seen lately and also see around the corner from home a 1970s fastback in yellow with p plates as well not sure whether they are aussie vee forum members good to catch up with all go for a cruze and may be there are more floating about

the fastback belongs to a vw family , as they have a kombi as well. they use to own the sky blue late wagon that gets around wallsend.

spewing ! sorry i dont meet the criteria guys ! always keen to check out other vws though ! used to own a 69 beige square and a 66 fasty. wish i never sold the fasty :( i now have a 59 beetle. have to hook somthing up soon :)
