type 3 clock calibration
exsive - February 5th, 2011 at 07:32 PM

Hey - just fitted a replacement clock in my '65 notch (thanks Zoc!) but it seems to be gaining about 5 mins a day..

theres an +/- adjustment pin on the back with 4 or 5 increments - just wondering if anyone knows how much each increment would be worth in time ?? save me pulling it out and waiting a day to check it each time I make an adjustment :)

cheers!

I have only played with late type 3 clocks ('70's). I don't remember marks. It's a fairly course adjustment, I'd try 1/4 turn.
Just not sure if early clocks are the same :(

thanks robb - that would definitely be the smart way to do it, just hoping for a lazy option as I dont have a workbench or a spare battery round.

maybe Ill borrow one from my housemates car :)
