i have all the lights in and around the whole car(72 squareback)working except the front blinkers.
i have new bulbs, power all the way to the bulb socket evryone says earth .
how do i check that ,is there a earth from the blinker suround to the fender ...can someone help also i dont have the rubber around the suround to the
fender does that matter
cheers
your lights are screwed to the fender that would be an earth. i don't believe
having no seal would be the problem.a test light at the socket? lights up?
faulty new bulbs ?
Earth fault.
OK easiest way is to run a jumper wire from the side of the globe to a good clean earth spot under the bonnet (the headlight earth point would do),if the light works then try the base plate,if it works again it is the earth point. If this is the case you can cheat and run another wire from the base plate to your earth point used.
sounds strange both dont work do your hazards all work and when your testing meter or another globe dose the feed move with the flasher can
Never really looked behind T3 indicators... thought they'd have an earth wire (brown) running from the back of the reflector area to the bodywork,
like on tail light assy's ???
I'll bet there's a little tab on them somewhere for an earth wire to attach...
When you are testing for power, where are you taking the earth from for the test light?
