Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum and was after some advice.
I've just bought an early type 3 fastback and have started hearing a gurgle and pop sound when I take my foot off the accelerator. I recall hearing this sound in an old car just before I need to replace the muffler and suspect this may be the case? The muffler does look rather rusted and due for replacement anyway. I've no idea about vw engines or what else this sound may indicate.... Ideas?
If in fact It needs replacing what setups would you recommend? I plan on lowering her so clearance is a consideration. Also I'll be going through Melbourne and wonder if there's someone there you'd recommend?
