I have found a pair of scatt seats that are listed as for beetle 48-55 & Beetle 56-70, will these tacks suit/fit a 1970 fastie?

most likely yes with scats type 3 seat adapter kit. but I am not 100% sure.

Sorry should have mentioned they are the scatt with adaptor. Have been told fairly easy to modify if needed.

Because the ones for sale are on ebay with beetle adapters

My 'point' is - he is stating this because the seats come with the adapter described (no option for with or without) - you don't get a option to change from beetle to type 3 - it is how they ordered it. His option is to order separate adapters direct from Scat.
