Recent trip in the '64 KG Left drive the speedo started to squeel and now the needle rotates at about the same speed as the wheel, picking its knackered anyone know where to get one from ? cheers

hi J, i passed your details on to one of the VWDC members tonight and told him of your speedo problem, he may have a spare and will contact you accordingly if available.
Have you tried Max instruments Archerfield (now sgesco) http://www.sgesco.com.au/web/front.asp  as they are VDO agents and apparently still service these units. You may also want to try Otto instruments Salisbury http://ottoinstruments.com.au  as they too specialize in this type of work (good to have a second option/opinion). regards John F.
