Semi-automatic/ stick shift gearbox questions
Emmett61bug - May 3rd, 2017 at 06:44 AM

G'day guys, I have a semi-auto out of a 1969 beetle that I'm wanting to get rid of, the gearbox is in really good condition but I have no idea how much it is worth. If I sold the complete package so that's the grearbox, vacuum pump, oil/atf pump, oil and atf lines as well as vacuum lines, the entire flywheel and torque converter set up and a few other pieces, how much could I put it up for. Is it really a sort after part???

Not that sort after - the semi-auto stick shift was a novel concept, but not really embraced by the buying public. If you need it out of your shed I am happy to collect as I do own and drive a stick shift '75 and the spares may be handy one day.

Don't give it away, it has value to some one who will appreciate it, not some one who take it out of your shed. If it is as good as you say it would have to worth $300 or $400, as they are hard to get in good condition.

The bits are very sort after! Just the market is small! Ive got a complete set up too! Still in the car working fine if you want mine too!
