Whats the go with the Chat Room?

Hi Moderators and ppl,

Ivevisitd the chat room on several occasions to find next to no-one in there??

I have chatted to a couple of ppl in there about a week ago, and damn was it slow.

It looks to me most ppl are not interested in staying in there because of the speed issue. Is there a way around this??

Maybe we could look at getting a chat program link to a new one of different flavour??. Any ideas??

I think Andrew was looking into another chat programe........
But yes. I too have been in there and it has been too slow...

Agreed, I have noticed that alot of people have not continued in the chat room because of the speed issue. It would be great to get a chat room that is fast and easy to use as this will only encourage members to say hello and use the chat room for what it is intended. I know we are only talking a couple of seconds delay here but we need to update the current room.

The issue is being investigated guys, just hang in there for the moment. We will hopefully have something better up soon.

Okay, I've replaced the PHP-based chat room with the old one. I'm sending the admin details to Jay (free chat rooms have a single admin account).
