I think it's a scam. I emailed asking to view it and got this back.

Dear kathslover,

Hi, thank you for inquiring about my Volkswagen VW Kombi Microbus Deluxe Restored Van Vintage Retro Surf Bus 2.0L - AU $12,000.

I can't access my work email during the holidays so please contact me for more pictures and info at my home personal email address: sokratis5591 [at] gmail.com

Kind Regards,

I received the same email word for word, then the following reply when I requested additional pics.....

"I still have the VW Kombi for sale and I am ready to let it go for $12,000. The car is in perfect condition, exactly as you see in the pictures. No mechanical problems, no leaks, no rust, everything is in very good order. Title is clean and clear, no accidents. I have to sell this car as fast as I can because in two weeks I will be in Afghanistan and I think I'll stay there for a while, that's why I'm selling it so cheap. Currently I'm in a military base, RAAF Tindal, NT, and the car is here with me. I can ship for free anywhere in Australia if you want to buy it. I will appreciate if you let me know your decision as soon as possible, I must sell the car before my January 5th deployment.
I attached some photos and let me know if you like the car.
Best Regards,
Lt. Daniel Sokratis"

I have asked for a copy of his ID, previous Rego, VIN etc cause of the above reply so I'll eagerly await his reply.

Ahh the good ol' military story, must be the same guy running all the kombi scams, because this exact story, with different names is used for each one. Interesting how the military have nothing better to do than to ship their soldiers kombi's here, there and everywhere free of charge.

ITS A SCAM. He is wanting payment via Amazon buyer protection program which I googled and it's a Scam.

Buyers be aware that these scams have been around for 10 years.
