shell wanted
Cam - October 5th, 2004 at 10:00 PM

Hi everyone, I posted this in parts, but thought I would give it a go over here as well... Just for luck :)

I'm after a beam-pan based beetle shell, somewhere in Melbourne is preferable.

I bought a 60's bug off a mate for a quick on the road job, it seemed cool from what we could tell, but after taking the (bolt on) panels off and attacking the matte white paint it's revealing some pretty serious cancer

So if someone has something laying around for not much $$$ (since I just spent a fair whack on bringing the running gear upto scratch) I would appreciate the chance to check it out.

Cheers,
Cam

What's a beam-pan shell?? And what is the definition of a shell?? I have what I would call a shell - but deciding whether to work with it myself or not - so just interested in what you call a beam-pan??

i would say a beam shell is one with a kingpin or bj front and not super bug coil front

beam based pan is a bug that isn't a super beetle, so it has the torsion beam front end.

Well, I already have all the panels, i.e: guards, doors, bonnet, boot, etc... And a floorpan to put it all on. So essentially all I'm looking for is a gutted bare bones beetle body, ofcourse anything more than that I'm more than open to considering.

Cheers,
