Rockers

How far off-centre are they? If you fit them and rotate the engine to run the valve through its full cycle, does the pushrod or rocker hit anywhere they shouldn't?

Good to see someone with some real knowledge posting replies, but it sounds like our friend had caught himself a bit of a snag. Then again, if he has such high-tech facilities at hand, maybe he could custom-make his own rockers? Do you have any specs on what the offset at the valve end should be?:)

When you say 3 piece spring loaded tube, are you meaning the alloy emergency replacement ones?

If so I'd expect the pushrod to be close to them, because their walls are so thick. If you run standard pushrod tubes you would have more clearance (thinner tube walls). Once you get the head on flare the end of the push rod tube a little too, so it fills the hole in the head properly.
