Type 3 Sealed Headlamp replacement

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a gumby so i'd appreciate some clarification here...

The headlamps on my Type 3 (12Volt) are pretty dull at night. They have halogen bulbs in them but still it's enough to make me think I need to replace the headlamps themselves. My headlamps have a separate parking bulb in them as well as the halogen bulbs.

If I replace these with new ones am I buying the 'high/low bulb' or the conversion? My concerns are what do I do with the wiring for the parking bulb if I can't find a replacement headlamp that's the same style as what I have now? and if I can't get the same style - do I lose the parking light functionality?

Here's a photo of the wiring i'm talking about

Yeah, they are the go. Get 130/90 quarts halogen globes and put a relay on each light.
