Blinker/dipper switch Assy

Can anyone tell me if the blinker/dipper switch assy in the steering column (teflon ring with wires attached) is the same between type1, 2 & 3.
The one in my Notch has deteriorated to the point where its breaking into bits and causing all sorts of grief......

Also anyone have a moustache or vw bonnet emblem for a type 3 *listens for the sound of laughter *
