Any advice would be appreciated. The car is totally stripped. What specialised tools do I need? Is one of those pipe flaring kits from the hardware
suitable/necessary? Do I need a piping bending tool? I was told to go for the softest lines I can get, they're the best! Is this true? Do I just
buy the lines from a brake supply shop? I never done this before but I am quite handy, will I be able to handle the job? Anyone done it themselves
b4?

>Is one of those pipe flaring kits from the hardware suitable?
No, they only produce a single flare!
>Do I need a piping bending tool?
Yes for the tight bends - or you risk kinking or flattening the tube.
>I was told to go for the softest lines I can get, they're the best! Is this true? Do I just buy the lines from a brake supply shop?
Do not know of different grade in the tube, get them made up at a reputable shop, it's not expensive.
Take the old ones to the shop and get them to make them up including the tight bends. The only one that's diificult to install is the long front
to rear!
You need a lot of patience and just bend them by hand very slowwly so you get the right shape
OK so pipe flaring kit is no help, what do I need to use? I don't have the old lines unfortunately
i think there is a thing in volksworld magazine i try and find it! (bloody scanner aintm working so if i find it and ill tell you the issue)
cheers

yep it's an easy job. As noted you'll need a flaring tool that can produce a double flare (garequip.com.au) is where I got mine from (not cheap!!) the bender is a nice tool to give those professional looking bends...but truth is you can use a large spocket if it has a ridge in it (like metricince stuff) you can just bend it with you're thumb All the lines and end pieces can be obtained from en-zed or the like. All up with tool purchase etc.. you should be able to do it for 150ish. Then again a brake shop may be around this money you'r call. Good luck
Thanks
Is the URL garequip.com.au correct? Can't get through
Kombi_kid, that will be great if you can tell me which issue. I have most (if not all)

What ever you do dont use copper, its illegal.
Steve I don't know what it's like in NSW but in QLD the lines we get are like copper coated steel...or is that zinc?? oh whatever I just know that when I purchased like 12m of the stuff I started arguing with the guy that copper was illegal and he said its just coated so it can't rust oh well live and learn
