The battery in our 12V beetle is not charging well. The battery is nearly new and has 12.6V at the battery.

The generator has 12.9V at idle and once the revs are increased the volts at the generator drop to 7V.

With the generator actually dropping in voltage would this indicate a regulator or generator problem?

can you borrow some working parts??
