i already have discs on the front of my 1970 beetle and was wondering if i could upgrade these to like a cross drilled and sloted disc is this possible
You have a standard dont you?
It is possible but not really needed and $$$
Better off having stock discs up front and upgrade the rear tp type 3 drums
IF you do have a super you canr get Porsche 944 discs up front......but unless you are going for the "Look" or you are racing i would say
dont bother

ok then kool well my front discs r stuffed now so i need to get some new ones just go wif wat is on there already
you can actually use the earlier type 3 front disc i think. i know one of them will work, just not sure but i guess someone else will know for sure. i have late beetle front discs on my 70 and type 3 rears, and they work just great
Yep, you can fit type 3s, but no point, they're the same; or Karman Ghia ones if you can find a wreck for a reasonable price in OZ (unlikely!) they are a bit bigger, but still not slotted and cross-drilled - you'll have to see an engineer about that!
Hi
Beetle, pre 71 Type 3 & Ghias all use the same rotor. Post 72 Type 3s & Type 4s used a slightly larger rotor. DBA make slotted rotors.

I agree with the guys, don't bother putting anything above Type 3 rear drums if you're not racing as these take quite a bit to fade anyway. I had type 3 drums on a 56 bug and they were definitely the go.
