VW Bugatti & Alfa
alansvw - September 9th, 2016 at 09:15 AM

Found these old pics of some cars I had in the past. They were built on a VW chassis with 1835cc engines. The White Bugatti would lift the front wheels so we added sand bags. Those were the days when cars were safe! look at that side protection.

Both were registered in the ACT. It was much easy getting them passed down there. love to know where they are today?

:tu::yes:
Was there a drive shaft or were you sitting above the gearbox?

You sat over the gearbox. The red Alfa had an 1835cc engine and lifted the front wheels . We fitted sandbags up the front for safety... if you can believe that.
We once took it to an Alfa Club show and all the waves and thumps up turned nasty after they had a closer look , but it fooled everyone for a while.
