Hey guys, after years of wanting a bug, i finally picked one up!
it is a 1975 super beetle that has been outside for a fare few years but with a bit of tlc she should be back on the road soon! make a great first car. here's some pics

As Steve said best model bug they made.

Looks like its had accident repairs on the RH side and front and whoever did the paint just painted straight over the top of the old paint on the bonnet and side and didn't even primer that RH front guard.

thanks guys for the replys, i am getting stuck into it as much as i can at the moment and the paint has been painted over and not primed... but i am hoping it will turn out alright in the end!

As far as I know they seem to be in fairly decent condition... Not alot of rust on the whole car either, only a few small patches and the front guard.

Anyone know where i can buy an Oil Filter for it? its a 1600?

They don't have an oil filter, only a washable strainer

better off just getting it road worthy , then do a bit at a time allways keeping the car driveable ,
