Sorry to hear about that, but luckily it looks like your car should be fairly easily repairable. Lucky you had that rear bar! If the car wasn't already a baja you would probably have to cut it down into one anyway to repair the damage, so at least you can look on the bright side. Be sure to check out the whole car thoroughly for other damage too, when I crashed mine I bent the clutch and brake pedals outwards by bracing against them and damaged the shift linkage with my shin.

HOLY CRAP!

i hope ur rear shock towers and rear forks are still straight after the rear barwork shove!

particularly if it cracked open steel tubing...

i hope she was insured :(... U'll be alright mate. chances are she is... means a fresh paint job and hopefully a brand new rear bar... :tu: at the inconvenience of stress and concern however that wasn't needed to begin with :(

I was looking over the car last night and noticed that the rear tyres had scuff marks from her bumper bar. When i looked at the photo of her car I could see the tyre marks on top of her bumper. Now I know why there is damage at least 1/2 a meter up the front bonnet. I must of spent a bit of time at about 45 degrees.

Seems engine is fine now I gotta get the assessor to come to the party for the repairs. Here's hoping!

Well I gave up on the insurance assessor and getting budget insurance to pay for damage. Told budget to go get f*&^%e as they decided they wouldn't pay for front damage (according to women who hit me I hit car in front first - bull shit). They decided to believe a lying cow who couldn't even see the car in front of me.

I have got the car back on the road in 1/2 a day welding up bars and removing some of the tinware that was rubbing on the crank pulley. Glad to be driving Al again.
