Proper rivet setting tool
Birdman - June 19th, 2016 at 04:35 PM

At great hassle and expense, I have sourced proper NOS black vent windows and vent window frames for my bug.
I am now in the process of ordering the correct tube rivets to assemble the two but I need a rivet setter to do the job.

I have done plenty of research and know there are ways to do it without the correct tool but I don't want to go that way.

So the question is, does anyone have a proper tube rivet setter in Sydney, Wollongong or Newcastle areas?

Is there an 'Old School' brake/clutch service in your area ? If you can find a 'friendly' person, who has done a bit of brake lining work, you may be able to get them to do the job. Or borrow the correct tool... if they haven't chucked it away.
