Need help wiring!!

Just bought an oval beetle on a 60's model chassis.. The whole wiring needs doing.. I should be fine with the lighting and stuff just need a hand with the engine side and ignition.. Anyone out there want to make some cash?? Throw some prices at me..

early beetles are very easy to wire...

if before 1968..

Lights Ignition blinkers no relays unless You add them..

and I like them... on headlamps and starter motor...

My Son just did some altering when I changed ISP...

Thanks for your reply mate.. Probably a bit far from you mate.. Carrara is on the gold coast.. Yeah i have found a coloured wiring diagram online.. Gonna print it out today and see how I go..

Hi

There are some wiring diagrams on the samba http://www.thesamba.com 

I find the early wiring diagrams to be very hard to follow as all the wires run parallel in the diagram, have look at a later wiring diagram from say 72 or later Beetle.

You could easily have your car wired as a 72 or later Beetle if your staring with a blank canvas. I wired my 73 Beetle as a 76 Golf with 16 fuses, side parkers, intermitent wipers etc

For a stock engine you will only need power for the coil +, oil light wire and generator light wire.
