Hi all,

New to classic VW ownership, I trailered home this fella the other day from the Barossa Valley.
It is a one owner car with delivery and service books, matching engine#.
It has been off the road since 1979 and has 71000miles on the clock, original paint, supported by he service records.
Obviously Ivory but not really sure whether Inverloch or Mandalay
Spare wheel is still in original two tone paint.

Really looking forward to getting him back on the road.

An excellent year! Nice to drive.
Bought (in early '80's) a '56 in exactly that colour, I think - would possibly be Mandaly, it was quite a "cream" colour - wheels the same 2-tone, but had red trim. Was GPU... (Vic.)
Few years later got a slightly earlier '56 (GMW...) in Surf Green metallic - MUCH surprise to find original metallic paint from 1956 after polishing!

Love a barn find and the quirky things that come with them - like the Ford sticker on the side glass:no:

They'll let anyone join this forum hey...haha

Very sweet car Chris. Look forward to seeing it evolve as all of your cars do (generally to perfection)
