I am a newbie in regards to VW ownership (other than a beautiful R I owned for 6 months) , I have purchased a 56 Oval which was delivered this evening from Geelong to Wollongong. Just a question in regards to repo panels are they like most reproduction panels out there for old cars in that they are hit n miss when it comes to fitting and alignment and are you better to buy from Aussie dealers or cut out the middle man and buy overseas and have them shipped as I have done with other cars parts I am looking for an original pair of front guards no idea how difficult they will be to locate so that is why i am considering repo ones , the ones supplied with vehicle have holes at top for indicators so obviously incorrect. Thanks in advance
