Fuel tank resto - inside or outside first?
bus914 - December 23rd, 2012 at 03:38 PM

I've got the POR15 kit and I plan to tidy up the fuel tank over the break. Can anyone tell me if its better to do the inside or outside first? does it matter? Cheers.

better off doing the inside first as you have to pour cleaners and stuff inside and tip it out, easier to block of the holes to paint the outside if thats what you are doing

I'm with pod, I'd be doing the inside first as well.

But if you are planning to strip the paint from the outside using any kind of heat including a grinder, strip the outside before applying the internal coating in case the heat affects the innner coating.

Yes
inside first..
then the outside
and You don't need to do anything else to the inside so no little accidents can appear..
