Im going to spray my type 3 pan,can I use killrust expoxy enamel or am I better to rust convert than two pack

killrust is ok on non automotive applications. I would use> Rust bullet, KBS ,POR15 or if you could get it in Australia> Master series. Rated as the best. Out of whats available here, Rust bullet is said to be the best.

Killrust is solvent based, the others I mentioned are moisture cured, master series is 2 pak

I have used POR15 and will continue to use it till I run out of it and its is tough as all buggery. The adhesion and toughness of POR15 vs killrust is like steel vs dirt.

My Killrust pan has out lived the POR15 front beam........but maybe i used the por incorrectly:lol:

probably.

there is a fair bit of particular prep involved with por15, once right its works really good.

kill rust works well if you use the same sort of prep plus kill rust primer.

I find their primer does all the work, works really good but the epoxy is not that durable mechanically. i.e can scratch easy compared to por15.

Also I found killrust not at all chemical resistant nor constant wet resistant. But the primer is resistant to most things. I use the kill rust primer with other paints though with good results.

winning combo. kill rust primer and VHT caliper silver paint, plus caliper clear. :tu: but only works with their silver for some reason?
