Rust bullet
vlad01 - January 12th, 2014 at 10:46 PM

Just got to use rust bullet this weekend.

The best stuff I ever used! highly highly recommended :tu::tu::tu:

If you want some contact Stephen at Rustbullet.com.au

One word of warning, make sure you order plenty of solvent for clean up with it and make a spray booth as it has a really nasty level of adhesion. The over spray will ruin stuff conventional paint over spray merely leaves dust on. This stuff sticks on a molecular level.

I guess that is why its so good

Yep.
I carried out a little test with it over a couple of years
Works brilliant.

I just checked this morning on how it cured, adhesion is up several fold more. You could bounce bullets off the coating its so hard and durable.

Its way better than POR15 imho. Especially that rust bullet is no where near as sensitive to prep as POR15 is.

This was a year on after 1 coat (not the recommended 2).

Then this was after 2 years.

Then I lost it - I think one one threw it out. it would be 4 years now. I would love to come across it again.

cool! when I said be careful of over spray, I found out yesterday how serious that is with RB.

I had a bonnet sitting 5m away and had no where to put it. I put a drop sheet on it and tucked it under to be safe.

well there was one corner uncovered I noticed yesterday.

looked at it. RB over spray dust had settled on it. Mind you the bonnet was already dusty so I didn't think the RB dust would stick.

well my reaction on closer inspection.

I could not get it off! had to use cutting compound to remove it without taking off too much clear coat. Almost ruined my bonnet. Wow! this stuff is bad new for unwanted mess.
