waltermitty - May 13th, 2003 at 11:35 PM

I am toying with a Satin black topcoat .I know that a GMH style black is what i want,l not mat . Anyway GMH is UV sensitive , can anyone suggest a 1K or 2K that will be the correct dulness and UV protected.
Thanks Mitchell:cool:.

Aparently you can use a gloss paint, eg gloss black, and add a matting agent to it. 30% matting agent is supposed to give a good look. I'm not sure on how porous the paint gets with a low sheen though and of course you can't polish it as you end up with patchy paint. I'd speak to a painter or a paint supply shop.

:jesus
go for black 2k primer, but any matt type finish is hard to keep clean, like finger prints, oil spills, etc, with the 2k primer just cut it back and give it a new coat ,is hard wearing.........

cheers
