If you're in Newcastle, maybe go see Ben Durie ;)

Or phone Sharpbuilt in QLD.

Personally I think that type 4 motors should be left for kombis! But if you really have to do it you could look on the Type4rum on the ShopTalkForums

i looked into this recently and there is a lot to learn.
A) Sharpbuilt are the shroud people in aus and volkspower in melb also do one they are about 600 bucks, The best one i have seen is the one that jake raby in the us uses go to massive.com.
B) If you go for the porche style fan the fan and porche alternator alone will cost about 1200 bucks but you are pretty much guaranteed to never overheat again.

last iime i lookeda t jackraby's site, he was using a sharpbuilt fan shroud?

Bizarre - February 5th, 2004 at 08:28 PM

Yeah he WAS

Since Joe of the West? (or was it East?) passed away, Jake has taken over the DTM and improved it ( aw, der!) and now does them.

Every thing else doesnt work, even the Porsche shroud doesnt cool as well as a MassIVe DTM!. He is even selling them for Type 1's now.
