try and u2u paulr......he has some nice ones from a Honda PRelude (I think) in his kombi........and i think it is reasonably straitforward for at least one of the seats (the other needs a few bolts)

At the Perth DOVW I met a guy you had put in some seats from a Jap car - i think it was a Mazda .... but they apparently fitted straight in ... though the passenger seat needed an extra fitment - but apparently it was really easy to get it in - and let me tell you they made the kombi look that much ...ummm quicker :D

My Kombi mechanic has 81 falcon seats in his. He told me if I new how to drill 8 holes and do up 8 bolts I would not have a problem! I am looking for some to as I don't like not having head rests - in case of whip lash.

hey da wiz do you know what type of mazda?
are there any legal problems with just drilling holes and bolting them in in. ie. need an engineers certificate.
crazy figgi - where are you going to put your compliance plate?

Astro Boy i am only goin to cut down the metal backs, so there will still be a little bit for me to poprivet the plate on.

Anyone else got some pics? Info? Help please:(

Alex.

This has been covered a few times. Have you done a search?

As for compliance, my kombi has seats in it from a who knows what (I suspect a Commodore). They have been welded to the body and the slidey bits welded to the fixed bits so they no longer move forward/backward. It passed the Vic. RWC with this welding.
