Can anyone tell me what the effect on an engine would be that is run for a short period of time (say 10 litres) in a VW 1500/1600 - rather than super?

I've only used premium unleaded and put Valvemaster in it every 3 or 4 tanks (I've been told to stop the valves getting pitted) No mods, no problems.

I swear changing to Premium unleaded was the best thing I ever did to my 1600 kombi........runs heaps better........like oasis says bit of valvemaster now and again...I use the penrite one but theres probably cheaper ones around.

Its been discused lots, but basically unleaded wont damage your vw some ppl report benefits of using premium and when I'm feeling flush I'll use optimax but generally I use unleaded.

I still have 3/4 of a 4 litre container of additive that Bought before coming to the Forum

Have a look here
