I'd like to fit a rev counter to my 6V bug.I'm not planning to upgrade to 6V until i change my engine etc . Can i buy any rev counter and is
there anything important i need to know as i'm wiring it up myself.

YES... there is One important thing You need to know....
Electric Rev Counters (tachometers) work by Voltage... The majority are for 12 volts...
and some have a switch for how many cylinders in the engine...
6 volt Rev counters are very RARE & Expensive...
Most Cars had changed over to 12 volts by 1956... so You are Looking for a Vintage 6 volt Rev Counter....
It will probably be a lot cheaper if You wait until You change over to 12 Volts...
