HI I need new tyres for my Fasty, How large can I go on standard rims and is there any brand of tyre recommended for VW's at all

rule of thumb is:
4.5" rim ~ 165
5.5" rim ~ 185

though people have gone bigger... and smaller.

hankook, nankang and michelin make stock profile 165s.

5.5 195 50 15......

fit well...
