Can anybody tell me the size of the standard fuel tank in a '71 beetle?

Super or standard? A super has a 42 litre tank, the standard is smaller, about 39 litres I think but I may be wrong.

would a super bug tank fit into say a.........62 beetle? i dont think it would but if it did it would be great to get a few more litres of fuel into my baja. as i have a 71 super bitz bug sitting in my yard
