I see some guys machine the cam gear to gain a small amout of power * letting the oil flow out ,is this worth doing ?

I am putting the motor together now . seagull

would that cause less surface contact, I've never grooved my gear and hav'nt noticed any differance

its in my book as to and 1 hp dont know the truth about it ?

I've done it.....Weather it gives you any more power or not , I don't know....It's definately not noticable.
