Hi,
considering doing the subie transplant on the karmann ghia. does anyone have any photos or links to a ghia subie build thread that details radiators in the front ?
thanks.

Hi

This site is probably the best one to search http://vwkd.com/bb/

Here are a few pics of a radiator in a Ghia. Can't remember which site I found them but no build thread from memory.

Not sure how well the setup works in the yellow Ghia - radiator is very upright and not much space behind it with the cover on, even though it looks very neat.

I'll be using a similar setup but leaning the radiator back with air intakes through the standard front vents and enlarging the the horn hole a little (if needed).

Also have a look at this thread

thats exactly the approach I was interested in. I'm wondering if that will give sufficient cooling, well... I'm hoping actually.

I'm sure it will - as long as the perimeter of the radiator is sealed forcing all incoming air through the radiator. Combined with the added volume and running pipes underneath I doubt cooling would be a problem.
