Coolant Vacuum Purge unit

Hi

When filling my cooling system I always used to have a trouble getting air out of it, so I would warm the motor up and then let it settle and repeat until I could feel the lower hose getting up to temperature.

With my new motor I didn't want to let it idle too much at first, so I bought one of these unit on eBay, it worked really well so I was able to fill my system completely before starting.

Steve I modified a garden pressure sprayer for use in my workshop, I fitted a low pressure gauge and fitted a tap to the hose and attach it to the recovery tube on the header tank, 1/2 fill with coolant, pressurise the sprayer tank and open the bleeder and let the air bubble out until clean coolant flows through. It has worked for me on the T3's for quite a few years.
