Where do you buy headlight housing/units for buggies ?
what is best to use, rubber or steel ?
I have seen nice chrome ones bought from a motor bike shop used, but I thought they may crack after continual offroading etc
I think Hella make a rubber one used on bulldozers, are these good !:jesus

Mine are sealled beam, and the rust that starting to appear after three years has been thrown in for free. Brad I hope that the ones that your going

I'm using 5 3/4 inch headlights for my manx....I bought chrome spotlights from a 4wd shop and then got H4 inserts for them which has the high & low beams as well as the park light......I prefer the smaller headlights to the 7 inch ones that most buggies are using.
Chack up on the ADR's if you are reregistering your buggy as they are quite strict - as you know. The most recent one that raised an eyebrow for
me was this one:
"ADR 12 - Glare Reduction in Field of View
The function of this Australian Design Rule is to minimise the glare from certain surfaces in the view of the driver.
Bugger. I hope I'm wrong. Engineers may choose to dot i's and get you to matt balck you lamp casings.
A good website to read before expenditure on the SWB buggy is sharpbuilt buggies which links to this source.
