Don't you know anything they're anti tailgating missile launchers.

Good luck finding one in aus, RHD ones pretty much non existant and unless you live at broken hill they dont work in our climate

yep they are the ones....cheers guys! i know where to get good info.....nowra has nothing to do with veedubs it is so annoying haha

That one does look out of place Ben. If you're desperate, you can get one from thesamba.com in the classifieds section. But I don't think I've ever seen one for a RHD car. Air passes through it after you put some water in there and the cooler air goes into the car. But because we have RHD cars, it will just go on the back of your neck and wouldn't be any good. Be prepared to fork out some money!

Aaaah Nowra, Does the foul smell from Manildra still waft across town in the early evenings like it used too?

Where abouts in Nowra are you from ? I grew up down there, drop in every month or two to see the folks.. Mustering the courage to take the beetle down there.

They are available as reproductions now I believe because they have become so popular in the 'scene'. All it basically does is humidify the air, I believe that this is achieved by passing the air over/through some kind of cloth wick which sits in a container of water inside the cylinder. This can cool dry air and hence act as evaporative air conditioning in dry climates but it doesn't really work very well in more humid climates.

Save your money for something useful mate! Why would you want a lump of tin hanging off your window just because 'everyone else has one'. Better off having vintage spotlights or something, even a canvas water bag on the front, at least they are useful.
