Craig Torrens - November 22nd, 2014 at 09:46 AM

Steve carter has just done 226kph (1st run) in his WRX powered beast at the Snowy Mountains 1000 (1km drags).

Steve Muller has clocked 172kph in the Roo Shooter.........not bad for a brick on wheels !

good results guys! would have given a few v8's a surprise!!

226 hey Carter, you might need a bigger turbo for Wakefield next year......

Craig Torrens - November 22nd, 2014 at 08:55 PM

Plenty of quick cars there.........like a new Jeep Grand Cherokee getting close to 300kph  and a new skyline at around 320kph.

Yeah.... Monster twin turbo from memory. That jeep is incredible, but the Willall GTR will destroy all before it :) it has a VW connection too.....

I agree Greg but you need an Ipod to listen to on the return road, forgot to mention that Steve Muller won his class as well

Well done Mr Carter! Awesome.

Does the car feel stable at that speed?

1303Steve - November 24th, 2014 at 07:30 AM

Thanks guys, the car felt planted the whole time even when we had a strong cross wind

1303Steve - November 24th, 2014 at 07:33 AM

I had to use 4th, when the intake temps came up around 1/2 the ECU dropped timing so didn't want to rev so I stuck it into 4th
