We are getting the motor freshened up @ WPVW ,
http://www.wpvw.com.au/WPVW%20family.htm

we didn't clean the motor , it never leaked much oil .
just down a bit on power
.
Getting it Ready for some more fun .
there was a few broken ring and wear in the pistons groves ,looks like the rings had been broken for some time
not bad for a motor built in 2005 by Paradise motor sports .
looking forward to getting another 8 years of use .

I guess there are two very positive things about the engine , one is you were lucky there wasn't any worse damage and the other it is a great opportunity to upgrade to some Wiescos . What are the plans for the engine ?

Any chance you could tell us about the current specs and what is proposed ? I could see CB heads that look to have has some work, what's the case, crank, cam etc.. Unless of course you don't want to give away your secrets! : )

the machine shop has been busy and the crank and rods were still there first week of September,
So we didn't need Wayne to rush getting the engine back together as we still had to book in a dyno and get to Sydney for a TNT.
before Warwick
so we are happy to have the time to be spectators and enjoy the racing actions .
see ya there .

Have you worked out what caused the damage..

rose - September 26th, 2014 at 08:45 AM

Well the previous owner always ran around 25psi boost would do it. And it's always had a rumble since we've had it. One strong engine. The engine was built in 2005.

We only run 12psi boost.

Is that a temp sensor you have tapped into the block off plate? Did you use a thicker gauge or just stock?
