Hi All,

With still a week away from VW Warwick 2014, the entry list has hit a staggering 83. The biggest field was 85 back in 2011, so this is quite remarkable. Considering that there will still be those entering late (car dramas, brain fade, etc), there is every chance a record field could run over the two days.

The field consists of the nation's top runners such as Rod Penrose, Wayne Penrose, Wayne Fenech, Ben Ford, Michael Waldron, David Butler, Matthew Berry, Jason Frost, Andrew Ermel, Ben Robinson, Chris Bolton, Steve Carter, Andrew Swanson, Tony Statham and David Richardson.

There is also the return of Aaron Roberts in his new Type III tube chassis, Troy Alder in his new 2332 Turbo Beetle, Peter Page (Dak-A-Tak), Fabion Corio (Inch Pincher), and Leon Van Der Togt (Trike).

There's no Warwick without the Hanson Clan, and the Alders are closely challenging the Hanson's for the most team entries! There are well over 12 debutants, including Lana Rose, a 13 year old competing in a junior dragster (exceptions made for VW family), my eldest Peter Hughes behind the wheel of the VWMA Golf, Tim Alder in his sweet panel Kombi and Andreas Andreou piloting the Mick Motors drag Beetle.

The list extends to past winners such as Glenn Williams, Barry Roberts, Michael Holman, Andrew Bax, Lou Guevara and Paul Manteit and the Victorian Gringos of Michael Clark, Steve Craven, Barry Cripps and aforementioned Andrew Ermel.
