Who's Got The Goods
LOWBUG - February 25th, 2004 at 05:34 PM

Ok its not long before the Nat's here in Sydney, and I've been assured by Dave that the Drag racing will be held this time at WSID. And I've also heard its going to be a day/night event, maybe Dave could varify this as well as the noise restrictions.

So who's going to race, any people from interstate want to try out our new track and put down some times on the best Drag strip in Australia.

It would be a change having the outer staters coming to Sydney for a change.

I'd like to see some 12 sec street VW's

LOWBUG - February 25th, 2004 at 06:26 PM

Why it already weighs less than just about any othe car on the road, mine weighs 810kg's and all I've done is removed the back seat and filled it up with stereo.

Don't worry Pete, mine weighs 917kg ready to race & I reckon I might get in the very high 14's (14.99999999999) & with your new motor u should do that comfortably :thumbsince u have more power then me.
regards
Jak

LOWBUG - February 26th, 2004 at 07:51 PM

Hey Dave who do you know of thats coming to the Drags, have you had any positive responce.

Cheers

Menangler - February 26th, 2004 at 08:36 PM

Woo hoo, no muffler, that the best news I've heard all day.
Even though I spent $100 and a day making a new muffler set up that doesn't rob 18hp !!

LOWBUG - February 27th, 2004 at 12:36 PM

Yes it will very nice to see your sweet machine rip up the track at full noise.

Cheers

Peter Leonard - February 27th, 2004 at 01:44 PM

we're assuming that my 5YR old plastic tyres will offer some grip... (ask CT what brand I'm running, he'll laugh) be nice to get wheels and tires and a LSD before then. but I have this funny feeling I'm gonna be dragging as is. :D
still, final speed should be an indicator of the HP. should get 300Mph :P

speedster356 - March 1st, 2004 at 07:12 PM

Don't forget to pre enter with WSID !!!!:thumb

Peter Leonard - March 1st, 2004 at 10:17 PM

pre entry...
eep.
what's the cutoff time?
emma chiset?
who do i pay off safety-wise?:D

jakriz - March 2nd, 2004 at 05:24 AM

I think that u will find that 99% of people will turn up to the track on the day, just like at Oran Park in the old days. Where is the info to pre enter.?
